From its founding in 1883 until 26 Jun. '13, this Kaukauna mill was Thilmany Pulp and Paper Co. (a.k.a. Thilmany, LLC)or Thilmany Papers). One of the locks on the Fox River Navigation Canal is in the foreground.

Description:
CN local passes the former C&NW depot after servicing Expera Specialty Solutions at Kaukauna, WI on 27 Dec. '16. The depot was built in 1947 at the intersection of Depot St. and Draper St. to replace the old, wooden depot. Designed in the Art Moderne style, it originally had flat roofs. The current gabled roofs were added at some point after 1983. It became known as the north side depot after 1890, when the MLS&W, later C&NW, built their large, ornate depot south of the Fox River. That depot disappeared many years ago.

TPPX 75005 woodchip gondola was part of the consist of a CN local crawling across the former C&NW bridge over the Fox River as it serviced the Expera Specialty Solutions (originally Thilmany Pulp and Paper Co.) paper mill at Kaukauna, WI on 28 Jan. '13. Bridge was built by American Bridge Co. of New York in 1911.
