Description:
Tokai Carbon Co. car SRCX 871 was photographed at the Tokai plant in Addis, Louisiana. Tokai acquired Sid Richardson Carbon in 2018, along with its car fleet, thus the SRCX reporting mark on the car. This 5800-cubic-foot car had been built by Thrall Car Manufacturing Co. in 1975. It had a LD LMT of 159,600 pounds and a LT WT of 60,400 pounds for a gross rail load of 220,000 pounds.
